About Me
Julia Mascioli is a writer based in Washington, DC. She is the Deputy Director of Free Minds Book Club & Writing Workshop, a nonprofit organization that works with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youths and adults. She co-edited the anthologies When You Hear Me (You Hear Us): Voices on Youth Incarceration and The Untold Story of the Real Me: Young Voices from Prison (Shout Mouse Press, Inc.). She has an MFA in Fiction from Emerson College. Her short fiction has been published in the Bellevue Literary Review, Witness, Bellingham Review, and other literary magazines.
